Clearly overjoyed with her savings, Julie took to social media to alert other shoppers

Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private Facebook group with a staggering 2.4 million members, Julie shared a picture of her haul of goodies and said: “These cupcake boxes are a bargain!

“Only 50p each!”

She then revealed: “And yes I bought all of them!”

A pack of four Betty Winters cupcake boxes, each of which holds six cupcakes, are normally priced at £2.50 a pack.

However, when Julie checked her receipt, she noticed that they had been reduced by an eye-watering 80%.

The boxed had been slashed down to just 50p a pack, saving £2 on each set of boxes.

So if you’re a baker, know someone who is, or have a cute gift for someone but need a box to put it in, you’ll need to sprint down to your local B&M as quickly as you can.

These baking boxes are great for showcasing your culinary creations and are ideal for transporting cakes.

Not only this, but they can also be used to display gifts too.

From Julie’s picture, it appears that she bought 21 packs of the cupcake boxes, which would have cost a total of £10.50.

However, if purchased at full price, the haul would have cost a staggering £52.50, saving this savvy shopper a whopping £42.

At the time of writing, Julie’s post was shared just three hours prior, but it had quickly amassed 169 likes and 191 comments.

One person said: “Bargain! I use these at Christmas as well to do selection boxes.”

Another added: “Brilliant, if you are a baker, snap them up.”

A third commented: “Good find.”

At the same time, someone else asked: “Ooh are they labelled up as 50p? Might have to make a trip today!”

To this, Julie confirmed: “No they weren’t, I went in to buy my usual amount and realised they were only 50p when I looked at my receipt.”

Whilst another user joked: “Don’t bother if you live where Julie lives, she’s bought them all lol.”
