A SAVVY woman has been flooded with praise after revealing how she transformed her garden on a budget.
Alexandra Rowe, from Worcestershire, decided to give her run-down summer house a total glow up using nothing but a lick of paint and bargain buys from the likes of Primark, B&M and Temu.

And with prices starting from as little as 38p, it’s little surprise people have been going wild for the finished results.
In a post shared to both the ‘Gardening On A Budget Official‘ and the ‘Colourful & Maximalist Home Decor Inspo‘ Facebook groups, Alexandra posted a snap of what the tired-looking summer house looked like before she set to work on it.
A faded shade of green, it looked in desperate need of some TLC and a total eyesore at the end of the garden.
But after embarking on her mission to transform it into the new focal point of her outdoor haven, Alexandra proudly showed off the finished results.
Giving it a total new ‘boho’ vibe, she painted it a stunning shade of lilac and injected a pop of colour by painting the interior walls green and adding a selection of bold and vibrant accessories – including pink benches and a bright red ‘love’ cushion.
Alongside the snaps, she penned: “I’ve just finished renovating my summer house.
“I’ve done it all on my own bar my kids helping with a bit of painting here and there!”
She went on to say that the DIY project cost her £100 in total, including the paint.
“Some of the decor I already had but other bits are from charity shops, Primark, Homesense, The Range and Temu.
“Couldn’t be bothered to paint the floor so I used tablecloth and stapled it down.
“I used a blanket to cover the old covers and just spray glued it on!”
She added: “Easy peasy and I’m so happy with it!”
And for anyone eager to follow in Alexandra’s footsteps, then you’re in luck, because she revealed exactly where she bought the bargain buys and how much they cost.
Amongst the items she snapped up from Primark included £2 fairy lights, £2 green candles and a blanket to cover the sofa cushions, which cost her £12.
She also nabbed a heart cushion from Homesense for £12, while she bought a £4.50 tablecloth for the floor from The Range, along with a £4 metal sign and £6 doormat.
Oh my! This is EVERYTHING!

Meanwhile, the white table set Alexandra back just £6 from B&M, the outside rug was £6.99 from Aldi and the 38p glow in the dark ceiling lights, £1.73 butterflies and £3.78 tapestry were all from Temu.
It wasn’t long before the post was flooded with comments from very impressed social media users.
“This oozes natural life & boho vibes!!! I hope you enjoy this space to the fullest,” praised one.
June gardening jobs

The Sun's Gardening Editor, Veronica Lorraine, has shared the tasks you should take this month.
Stake out leggy perennials
With all the dramatic weather we’ve been having, it’s definitely time to stake out your leggy perennials (the ones that come back every year). Heavy rain and growth spurts, can make them collapse and flop.
Picking out the slugs and snails
Hopefully as we move into summer they will do less damage as the plants get bigger. The best way is still to go out at night with a head torch to find them.
Pick elderflower heads
You can use them to make your own cordial, or add to cakes, champagne or even fry them in batter.
Get on top of weeds
It’s around now that weeds really ramp up in the garden, so keep on top of them with hoe-ing – or just the traditional ‘on your knees with a hand fork’. Try and avoid chemicals – remember weeds are just plants in the wrong place.
Up the mowing
You’ll need to mow your lawn weekly now – if you’ve got time, weed it beforehand as once you mow you chop off the leaves and its harder to see them.
Check on your tomatoes
Your tomato plants will need attention – water, feed and regularly and pinch out the sideshoots.
Chelsea Chop
There’s still time for the Chelsea Chop – plants like Rudbeckia’s, Asters, Penstemons, Sedums and other perennials can be cut back by a third to help them get a bit more bushy, and prolong the flowering period.
Sort out your tulips
If you can be bothered and have space – lift and story your tulip bulbs to ensure colour next Spring.
Deadheading your roses
Take them down to the first set of healthy leaves – which will ensure more flowers for longer.
Enjoy your space
Take some time to sit and enjoy your garden or outside space – it’s great for your mental health. Even just a few minutes a day can make a big difference.
A second enthused: “Absolutely love it – you did amazing!”
A third noted: “The lilac shade is my favourite colour at the minute! I think it’s just such a happy colour. It looks so pretty and cosy.”
Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “Just fantastic. Really well done. Love it!!!”
Another agreed: “Absolutely beautiful!!! Xx”
And a further chimed in: “Oh my! This is EVERYTHING!”
